A Reminder...

A Reminder is a Note to Yourself to Not Forget
As couples grow in their relationship with God and each other, an important document comes to mind that will help us appreciate each other.

The Wedding Vows "Remember this… In Sickness and In Health”
"I, _____, take thee, _____, to be my wedded wife/husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith."

An important point to note: “Faith without works is dead" applies to marriage, too.

As our marriages grows, we remember that some things are very important -
Life will bring scenarios for us to play out each year to test and validate our growth in God and our commitment to each other. Three key reminders should resonate in our minds when the current tide seem low. Each part will be discussed in three segments!

For better or worse
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Ecclesiastes 4:9

Something else to remember
Even the wisest man in the bible speaks of amazement, but the love between a man and a woman is hard to understand; as recorded … “There are three things that amaze me—no, four things that I don’t understand: how an eagle glides through the sky, how a snake slithers on a rock, how a ship navigates the ocean, how a man loves a woman. Proverbs 30:18-19”
Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. Mark 10:9”
