WE BELIEVE IN PRAYER

Prayer changes things! Prayer is an intimate and transparent conversation we havewith GOD. We believe that our prayers must be based on GOD’s Word with faith applied. When we pray the pr omises and not the problems, this will cause all  opposing circumstances to come in line with the word of GOD. GOD already knows our problem (Hebrews 4:13) Prayer reaches into our future and manifest our needs into the present. Prayer makes the invisible visible and the impossible possible. We believe that there is no distance in prayer and it is more powerful than any  circumstance.

Jesus death on the cross has seated us in heavenly places and has given us direct access to the throne room of GOD.  This is our covenant agreement that once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, he has positioned us directly before the King. We can now “come boldly before the throne of grace and obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). This does not say hope to receive help but obtain it. We can then freely “enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalm 100:4).  Our foundation scripture for prayer is (Mark 11:24) “Therefore, I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”.  Now when we pray we have the confidence that he hears and answers our prayers.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Jesus is our model for intercessory prayer, not only did he intercede while he was here on earth for others but he continues to do it today while he is in heaven. We believe that prayer releases the power of GOD and that interceding on behalf of others is a vital part of this ministry. As an intercessor we take the place of others before our Father and we plead their case with the word knowing that he will answer our request. “Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”. (Romans 8:26) Our faith-filled prayers on behalf of others with the help of the Holy Spirit can change their lives!

CORPORATE PRAYER

We believe that corporate prayer plays an essential role of the life expectancy of our Church. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to GOD” (Philippians 4:6) Praying together on one accord and with one faith believing GOD's plan and vision for our pastor, leaders, church ministries and his people. We believe that no decision should ever be made without prayer and the discerning of the Holy Spirit. "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." (Matt 18:19-20) When we pray corporately with other believers our prayers edify and unify us as we share in common faith for the uplifting of GOD’s Kingdom and his ministry. We are to “Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ”. (Gal 6:2) The same Holy Spirit causes our hearts to rejoice and have compassion for other believers and causes us to encourage and reassure us of his promises as we lift up one another.
